After obtaining her Civil Engineer Degree, she entered the Construction Engineering and Project Management Program at the University of Texas at Austin in the United States from which she received a master’s degree in 1998. After finishing at UT she returned to Colombia to work for PUJ, during which she completed an evaluation and assessment for their post-graduate programs in Project Management and in Construction Management. She maintains close ties to both PUJ and the Universidad de los Andes in Colombia

In early 2006 Ana María joined NETCDS as Manager of the CDS Project, offering Project Management services to the Automobile, Petrochemical and Paper Industry.

Rosario, the second largest city in Argentina with a population of 1.3 million people, is located in the Pampa region of Argentina, three hours north of Buenos Aires, the capital. Rosario is a central point of the Mercosur Agreement for commerce ( between Argentina, Brazil, Chile, Uruguay, Paraguay and now Venezuela) because it is located approximately in the center of the Mercosur trading area. Although Argentina’s main economic center is Buenos Aires, Rosario is surrounded by such important industries as automobiles, paper, petrochemicals and steel works. The Rosario region is also where a majority of Argentina’s cereal exports (soy, rice and wheat) are grown, processed and exported. Argentina exports cereals and beef to much of the world.

The Port of Rosario on the Parana River is a major shipping point for oil, cereals, automobiles and other leading exports from Argentina.

She lives in Argentina with her husband, a medical doctor of physical medicine and rehabilitation. Ms. Rodriguez can be reached at arodriguez@netcds.com.ar.
