PMForum.org announces plans to form a global network of international correspondents to provide more timely and varied project management-related news and information from around the world for
www.pmforum.org. To be known as the pmforum Global Correspondents Network, the group of representatives will provide “feet on the street” to report the news from around the world of modern project management.
According to new pmforum.org managing editor David Pells, "we want to expand our coverage of the world of project management. In order to do that effectively, we have decided to establish correspondents in key locations around the world to help us."
According to Pells, primary duties of the International Correspondents for pmforum.org will include the following:
- Deliver breaking news stories related to project management, major projects or developments affecting the PM profession locally;
- Provide PM-related event information;
- Promote www.pmforum.org and PM World Today in the local PM community and represent pmforum.org at local PM events;
- Identify potential contributors of featured articles, viewpoints, case studies or other information for PM World Today.
Benefits for the correspondents will include:
- Listing and recognition on www.pmforum.org website as pmforum.org international correspondent, with photo, bio & company affiliation
- Recognition at the end of each breaking news article provided
- Membership in pmforum.org’s Global Correspondents Network and introductions to other pmforum.org correspondents around the world.
- Commissions on advertising revenues produced.
- Potential share ownership in pmforum.org.
- Other benefits, to be determined.
The official purpose of the new correspondents program is to establish a network of international representatives in key cities and regions of the world in order to provide pmforum.org with breaking news and information related to PM in those locations, and to provide pmforum.org with local representation.
Candidates have already been identified in South America and Central Europe, so the program is expected to be implemented rather quickly.
Experienced and well-connected former leaders of PM professional organizations located in major cities around the world who may be interested in becoming an international correspondent for pmforum.org are encouraged to contact
