A Global PM Advisory Panel is being formed for
www.pmforum.org, as announced by Managing Editor David Pells on 4 September 2006. The Global PM Advisory Panel will consist of current and former leaders of the world’s leading project management professional societies and organizations. Their experience and insight will help guide pmforum.org in matters associated with the world of project management. In particular, the group will advise the managing editor on ways that
www.pmforum.org can best serve the international PM community.
According to Mr. Pells, “We want to develop and offer news and information that can be truly useful to project management professionals and organizations worldwide. In order to do so, we would like to get the best advice possible. Leaders of the world’s PM professional societies can certainly provide invaluable guidance and feedback.”
Objectives for the new Global PM Advisory Panel will include the following:
- To establish a global network of PM leaders to provide advice, feedback and support.
- To expand the content, reach, and reputation of the pmforum.org website and of the monthly PM World Today.
- To ensure that compelling and useful PM information is published on www.pmforum.org and in the monthly PM World Today.
- To promote and expand www.pmforum.org credibility & visibility around the world.
PMForum.org advisors will include current and former leaders of widely recognized PM professional associations, including AIPM, APM, IPMA, PMA, PMAJ, PMI and others. Advisors will be well known and well connected in the global project management professional community.
Each member of the
www.pmforum.org Global PM Advisory Panel will be introduced and featured on the www.pmforum.org website as a “global advisor”, with a photo, bio & company affiliation. They will receive additional recognition with each published contribution, and will have an opportunity to meet periodically as a group to plan and discuss the direction and strategic goals of the pmforum.org website and associated activities and publications. Each of the global advisors will be expected to contribute periodic “viewpoints” articles on important issues facing the global PM professional community.
According to Mr. Pells, ““We will be announcing our first global advisors later this month. So far we have received overwhelming encouragement and have several very well respected and recognized professional leaders who have whole-heartedly agreed to participate. We are extremely excited about this opportunity to bring such high-level support, expertise, and vision together to focus on the evolution of pmforum. Together our ultimate goal is to have a positive impact on the world of professional project management.”
