Project and Program managers, experts and practitioners around the world are invited to submit abstracts for paper presentations at the
22nd IPMA World Congress on Project Management, ROMA 2008 – Project Management to Run – scheduled for November 9-11, 2008 in Rome, Italy.
Main streams (topic areas) for the congress include the following:
- Time dimension in project management
- Project management in the Mediterranean Basin and the Middle East
- Project management for large infrastructures and industrial plants
- Project management in public sectors and projects financed by international institutions
- Project management in main public events
- Project management in new fields
- New trends in project management
- Management by projects in industry
- Project portfolio and business process management
- Project management in history
- Soft skills: education and certification benefits
- Complex project managers
Paper abstracts should be focused on one of the above streams. The following guidelines have been provided for prospective authors and presenters:
- The official language of the congress is English
- Papers and presentations should be free of commercial sales content
- Papers and presentations should focus on the subject of the title, and preferably provide new contributions to the topic
- The length of the abstract should be between 150 and 200 words
- Abstracts shall be typed in 12pt Times New Roman font in the MS Office Word format, 2000 or 2003 versions
- Each abstract must have a lead author who will serve as the primary contact for all correspondence.
- Length of the final paper should be between 1000 to 2000 words in length.
