Association for Project Management (APM) in the United Kingdom (UK) has announced that its newest award, the
Project Management Company of the Year Award has been won this year by
Arup Project Management. The award was presented at a glittering ceremony on Tuesday 30th October at The Brewery, Chiswell Street, London on the first evening of APM’s two-day national Project Management Conference. Representing Arup in receiving the award was
Joanna Kennedy (pictured).
The Project Management Company of the Year is a new award in 2007 open to all companies that can demonstrate that the discipline of project management is ingrained into their culture, their structure and their everyday working. Other criteria that are considered for this award include company management, communication and employee development; as well as acknowledgement of the company’s social and environmental responsibilities. Entries are encouraged from companies of all sizes. Project management is seen as the future for running business and the finalists for this award will be demonstrating that they are the companies who are ready for tomorrow. Runners up this year were

MWH. The 2007 APM Project Management Company of the Year award was sponsored by
ESI International.
For the past 14 years the
APM Project Management Awards have been rewarding and celebrating project management successes, from the Eden Project to record breaking round the world voyages. The awards reflect the invaluable contribution project management and project managers make in all sections of society.

Nigel Cripps presented at the Awards dinner, a winner’s certificate, use of a winner’s logo, featured in publicity throughout the year, featured as a case study on the APM Awards website and in the APM Awards brochure. Runners-up receive a certificate, use of a finalists’ logo, featured in awards publicity, announced as a finalist at the awards dinner, featured on the APM awards website. Names of award winners and runners-up appear in a mini-feature in Project magazine awards special.
