Project Management Association of Japan (PMAJ) has selected PMForum to promote and report about their 2008 International Symposium to the global professional community. PMForum announced on Monday, 14 November that it has been named “Media Partner” for the International Project & Program Management Symposium Tokyo 2008, to be held in Tokyo, Japan during the 10th and 11th of March 2008. This will be the second International Symposium hosted by PMAJ and is expected to be the largest project management conference in Japan next year.
According to
Dr. Hiroshi Tanaka (pictured), President of PMAJ, “PMForum is the world’s best known independent source of project management news and information. We expect this relationship to provide much more exposure and visibility for our international symposium. The Tokyo symposium is expected to prove “project management as new economic infrastructure and a driver for social development and transformation.” With a slate of globally recognized speakers, the symposium has been organized in collaboration with leaders from the global project management community and will be supported by major Japanese corporations and government agencies. The symposium will focus on the following topics, among others:
- New domains of project management, including program management and portfolio management
- Organizational pursuit of project management value and governance
- Major project cases
- Building the future of project management
The Symposium will be conducted on 10 and 11 March 2008 at Tower Hall, Funabori, Tokyo, Japan with participants from 20 or more countries. The sponsoring organization is PMAJ, with full support expected from the Ministry of Economy, Trade & Industry and the Engineering Advancement Society of Japan, plus other leading Japanese public organizations.
