Australian Institute of Project Management (AIPM) has announced that it is taking its annual national conference to Australia’s capital in 2008. To be held at the newly renovated National Convention Centre Canberra (pictured), October 12 – 15, 2008, the conference will coincide with the world renowned Floriade flower festival which will see the landmark city transformed into a sea of spectacular blooms.
As with the 2007 Conference recently held in Hobart, the 2008 conference will host a comprehensive program of cutting edge education sessions, influential keynote speakers and the institute’s showcase event, the National Project Management Achievement Awards.
“Our conferences give us a chance to celebrate our profession and our successes, and remind others that Australia has been and continues to be an international leader in project management,” says AIPM CEO
Peter Shears. “The 2008 conference will provide an excellent opportunity for participants to share ideas, review industry trends and discuss the future of project management.”
Conference organisers are currently seeking keynote speakers and will soon release a call for papers with keen consideration given to international material. Abstracts are due by April 2008. For enquiries, please email Rob Tucker at
rtucker@aipm.com.au or phone +61 2 8288 8751.
