Seminar @ Sea III Project Management Cruise - Hard at Work
Several members of the PMI Clear Lake Galveston Chapter and of the PMI Houston Chapter are hard at work to finalize the many details needed to ensure the success of the upcoming 3rd annual Project Management Seminar @ Sea cruise from Galveston, Texas, scheduled for March 27-31, 2008.

The PMI Clear Lake Galveston (PMI-CLG) and PMI Houston chapters are once again joining forces to co-sponsor this unique and exciting 4-day Project Management event. AJ Collier (left), 2008 President of PMI-CLG and Walter Viali (right), 2007 President of PMI Houston, began working on the upcoming cruise as soon as they stepped off the Carnival Ecstasy cruise ship at the end of the 2nd edition of the Seminar @ Sea in April 2007.

“I’ve totally enjoyed working on the last two cruises and I’m honored to have been selected as a speaker on all three” says Walter, who has already presented on “Why Gen. G.A. Custer Should Have Been a PMP” and on “PMO, Project Portfolio Management, and Organizational Maturity Model.” As one of eight featured speakers on this 3rd Seminar @ Sea, his presentation this year will be on “The Challenges of Building the Giza Pyramids with the Tools of 4,500 Years Ago.”

Joining AJ and Walter at the helm of this endeavor is Don Grosskreutz (left), 2006 President of the PMI Houston Chapter and current Project Manager for the upcoming cruise. Don is leading an enthusiastic group of team members from both PMI chapters, who have been most committed to making this upcoming Seminar @ Sea the best all around PMI event!

Upcoming articles will highlight team members, other featured speakers, and some of the project management aspects of organizing an event such as the Seminar @ Sea. The featured presentations will allow our cruisers to earn up to 14 Professional Development Units (PDUs). The cruise will offer fantastic scenery, a most relaxing time, 24-hour dining, and non-stop entertainment, while sailing from Galveston, Texas to Cozumel, Mexico.

Family and friends are welcome to participate in all activities. For further information and registration, please visit www.pmiclg.org or contact Sherry Tinerella (Travel Zone Agent) at sherry@houstontravelzone.com – (281) 326-8050, www.houstontravelzone.com.
