Work continues with the joint efforts of the PMI Clear Lake / Galveston Chapter (PMI-CLG) and the PMI Houston Chapter (PMIH) in making the next Seminar @ Sea project management cruise the best ever. Little time is left for fellow PMI members to participate in an event that will surely be one to remember. The cruise sets sail on March 27 and available cabins on the ship are getting scarce!
The Seminar At Sea III joint planning team is busy finalizing the details of this event. Representing PMI-CLG are
Deborah Crouse, VP of Administration,
Scott Field, VP of Membership, and
Chris Deal, VP of Finance. The PMI Houston Chapter is represented by
Bob Masch, VP of Membership and
Mike Thacker, Director of Membership. The Project Manager for this event is
Don Grosskreutz, 2006 Past President of PMIH.
AJ Collier (on left in photo), 2008 President of PMI-CLG and
Walter Viali (on right), 2007 President of PMI Houston, are the co-sponsors for this event, which has so far enrolled over 160 participants. Special guest of honor on the upcoming cruise will be Mr.
Eric Jenett, PMI Founder, PMI Fellow, PMI member no. 3 and PMP no. 1. He was recently also honored at a PMI Houston Chapter meeting for his contributions to that Chapter, to PMI, and to the profession.
Stay tuned for additional information on meeting speakers and program details. The featured presentations will allow cruisers to earn up to 14 Professional Development Units (PDUs). The cruise will offer fantastic scenery, a most relaxing time, 24-hour dining, and non-stop entertainment, while sailing from Galveston, Texas to Cozumel, Mexico and learning and discussing project management.
Family and friends are welcome to participate in all activities. For further information and registration, please visit
