According to Raju Rao, PMForum correspondent from Chennai, India (second from left in photo), “Having attended all the PMI Asia Pacific Congresses so far i.e. Singapore, Bangkok, Hong Kong and now Sydney, I can see growing interest in India among the participants. This matches with the keynote speaker Robyn Meredith's description of India as the Elephant which is slowly trudging on as compared to China as the Dragon which has already made its presence felt.”

According to Carol Dekkers, PMForum correspondent from Florida (second from right in photo), “The world of project management is well and thriving here in Asia. Like Raju, I have attended all of the PMI Asia Pacific congresses, and I thoroughly enjoy the energy, positive outlook, and passion that is alive with project management in this part of the world. For anyone who has yet to attend an Asia Pacific congress, it is time to wake up and discover that the practical application of project management to make the world a better place is in full swing in Asia. I will definitely apply to speak again here next year. Thank you to the Australian organizers including our own PMForum correspondents Brenda Treasure and Robert Posener, and all of their peers, for the hospitality and friendship that made this year's congress another grand success!"

According to Theofanis Giotis, PMF correspondent from Athens, (far left in photo), “It was my first time ever travelling to Australia and my first time to PMI Asia Pacific Global Congress. I was impressed by the number of people attending the Congress, about 800, doubled than last year in Hong Kong. The Congress was very well organized at the Hilton Hotel at Sydney and I have enjoyed the hospitality of the people. The passion for project management was clear in all attendees’ eyes. The keynote speech of Robyn Meredith passed the message across about the importance of the Elephant, India and the Dragon, China. There were plenty of excellent sessions to choose to attend. Next year I will apply to be a speaker at the Congress!”
