The Project Management Institute (PMI
®) has announced that Lawrence (Larry) E. Bull (pictured below) of Charlestown Township, Pennsylvania, USA, has been promoted to director of organization products for PMI. He is responsible for establishing and operating PMI’s strategy to develop and deliver project management products and services to companies, government agencies and other organizations.
Prior to his promotion, Larry was manager of the Organizational Project Management Maturity Model (OPM3
®) – PMI’s project management maturity assessment product. He joined PMI in 2004 as a consultant. Before PMI, Bull was chief of financial planning for CSX Transportation’s Equipment Division. He also served as director of information services for CSX Transportation.
A native of Mentor, Ohio, USA, Larry graduated from Ohio State University with a Bachelor of Science/Bachelor of Arts degree in industrial engineering. He also earned a Master of Education degree in instructional systems design from Penn State University in State College, Pennsylvania, USA, and a Master of Business Administration degree from Duquesne University in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, USA.
He is a founding member of the Penn State University’s Alumni Advisory Board for Great Valley, Pennsylvania, USA.
