Other latest news released by the Roma 2008 project team includes the following:
- Interest in the IPMA Rome 2008 World Congress (www.ipmaroma2008.it) is growing. Nearly 400 abstracts were submitted to the Congress Scientific Committee from authors in more then 45 countries.
- At the top of the list is Italy with 79 abstracts followed by the USA with 33, China 24, Austria 24, the UK 17, Germany 16, Australia 14, Russia 14, Norway 13, Iran 14 and Finland 10.
- Many of the papers are related to Project Management in New Fields and New Trends in Project Management. But there is strong participation in about 10 of the 12 streams.
- The Scientific Committee will be contacting writers shortly in connection with the acceptance of their papers.
- In addition to an oral presentation, the congress is organising a poster section utilising an innovative system based on video presentation. Further details will follow.

IPMA 22nd World Congress on Project Management will be held in Rome, Italy during 9-11 November 2008. According to the “
ROMA 2008 – Project Management to Run” project team, with keynote speeches and 12 streams of presentations over three days, as many as 200 presentations on important project management topics can be anticipated.
The congress is expected to attract leading project management authorities and over 1,000 participants from the 45+ countries represented by IPMA membership. The Roma 2008 World Congress will be one of the largest project management events in the world this year. The 22
