Program Management Academy to sponsor first public course in Oregon
The Program Management Academy (www.programmanagement-academy.com) has announced a public course entitled Achieving Improved Business Results with Program Management", to be held during June 4-5, 2008 in Portland, Oregon, USA.

Subtitled “what you need to know about program management”, the course is being co-hosted by Innovation Frameworks, a Portland area consultancy.

According to the course flyer, Program Management is a comprehensive solution to emerging business and operational complexity, and bridges a critical gap between Strategy and Projects by providing business-level coordination between related projects. It is a powerful discipline that picks up from where project management leaves off and as such, is distinct from classical project management with different tools and scope.

This course will teach the principles, setup, operations and competencies required to successfully add Program Management capability to an organization. Results can lead to significantly improved competitive capability to succeed in today's complex project and business environment.
