Politec, Brazil's leading IT services provider with revenues of US$ 310 million, announced a partnership with Mitsubishi Corporation. Mitsubishi has invested US$30 million and is planning to make another round of investment of about US$50 million in Politec before the end of this year. The Japanese Group selected Politec as their strategic partner in global IT services.
With the partnership, the Japanese will have a vice-president on the board and they expect to increase Politec’s business outside of Brazil in such ways that they may compete with large American and Indian companies for new IT projects around the globe.

Mr. Peter Mello, PMP is an International Correspondent for PMForum and PM World Today in Brazil. Mr. Mello is also a Portfolio/Project Management consultant within public and private sectors, providing project management training and consulting services to governmental and industrial organizations, presently working with a portfolio of 22 on-going projects in the Petroleum & Gas industry. His professional experience also includes project and risk management for large projects in the IT Industry and Government, and specialized activities for scheduling optimization based on critical chain and Success Driven Project Management concepts. He is responsible for bringing Spider Management Technologies to Brazil (a Russian PM company responsible for the development of methods and tools for the active simulation of scenarios and scheduling optimization).
