Senior Fujitsu Executive to Keynote ProMAC 2008 Project Management Conference in Anchorage in September
The ProMAC 2008 conference team has announced that Kazuhiko Hanaoka, Corporate Vice President and President of the Corporate IT Unit at Fujitsu Limited, will deliver a keynote speech during the plenary session on September 16, 2008. Mr. Hanaoka’s speech will be entitled "IT Vision for Field Innovation."


The ProMAC 2008 Project Management Conference, "Project Management Leading Managerial Revolutions", will be held at the Hotel Captain Cook in Anchorage, Alaska during September 15-18, 2008. This conference follows previous successful ProMAC conferences in Singapore, Japan, and Australia.

Mr. Kazuhiko Hanaoka currently holds the following positions at Fujitsu: Corporate Vice President; President, Corporate IT Unit; Director, FOCS Project Office; and General Manager, IT Systems Division. Mr. Hanaoka joined Fujitsu in 1969 after graduating with a Bachelor of Economics degree from Hitotsubashi University in Japan. He was appointed Director of Corporate Planning and Business Development in 1998, General Manager of Corporate Brand Development in 2002, President of the Corporate IT Unit in 2005 and Corporate Vice President in 2006. In April 2008 he was also named President of Fujitsu’s IT Strategies Unit.

According to Mr. Hanaoka’s abstract, “As a part of our on-going journey towards ‘Field Innovation’ excellence, we are now aiming to fully integrate our management and IT. To continually deliver business benefits to our customers and their customers, we are making relentless efforts in ‘Field innovation’ focusing on people, process and IT. With this unique approach, we are striving to make processes transparent and optimized through continuous improvement of our overall management and IT. As a part of this practice, we are also promoting SOA (Service Oriented Architecture) and APM (Application Portfolio Management). I will share some previously untold inside stories – Fujitsu’s IT Vision for Field Innovation and lessons that we have learned so far.”

The ProMAC 2008 conference will serve as an important forum for the exchange of ideas and experiences to revolutionize today’s project management knowledge and techniques for the future. Special plenary sessions featuring top executives and government officials will be held to exchange their practices and plans. Numerous paper presentations and workshops will be held.
