"Project Management - at the Centre Stage of Economic Development" will be the theme of the 16
th Global Project Management Symposium in New Delhi, India, during 16-18 December 2008. The symposium is being jointly organized by the Centre for Excellence in Project Management (CoEPM) and Project Management Associates (PMA) of India, in association with the International Project Management Association (IPMA), International Construction Project Management Association (ICPMA) and the International Construction Project Management Union (ICPMU).
According to their brochure, the conference is also being supported by Indian governmental organizations, including the Ministry of Coal, Ministry of Commerce & Industry (DIPP), Ministry of Statistics and Programme Implementation (MOSPI), and Ministry of Power. Keynote speakers will include

The symposium will include plenary sessions, keynote speeches, special presentations, panel discussions, professional presentations, networking opportunities, and social events, meals and entertainment.
