The Association for Project Management (APM) has announced that some of the most influential figures in project and programme management have been lined up for their October 2008 Project Management Conference, "Success Through Projects." The APM's national conference will be held at the historic Brewery Conference Centre in London during 29-30 October 2008.

Dr Neville Bain, Chairman of the Institute of Directors, Sir David Normington, Permanent Secretary, Home Office, and Nigel Smith Chief Executive, Office of Government will all be taking to the conference platform Chaired by Dr Terry Cooke Davies (pictured right).

This year's conference, which promises to be innovative and interactive, is being held in association with the Office of Government and Commerce, who will be hosting its PPM Leaders Meeting at the conference. As the project management industry embraces the concepts of project professionalism and the impact of the APM drive to attain Chartered status , the conference will, once again, tackle central issues at the heart of the developing profession. Speakers representing AIG, Department for Work and Pensions, the Identity and Passport Service, Office of Government and Commerce, Tata Consulting Services and UBS will be covering topics such as sustainability, ethics, agile project management and creativity as well as round tables on planning, risk and project management academies.
