According to
Jyry Louhisto, General Manager of Project Management Association Finland (PMAF) and Program Director for the 2009 congress, “We will have two categories of presentations at the 23rd IPMA World Congress next year. First, we will have the traditional scientific research papers presented by academic leaders and project management researchers around the world. But we will also be seeking papers and presentations on practice based examples of project and program management. This will be different, and we hope it will enrich the congress.”
The theme for the 23rd IPMA World Congress on Project Management in Helsinki next year will be
“Refresh Yourself.” The event will be aimed at regenerating one’s professional career, organization and personal development.
Participants wishing to present a contribution are invited to submit an abstract, relating to the theme "Human side of projects in modern business". The abstract should be typewritten in English (preferably in MS Word or PDF format), not exceeding 500 words, on one A4 size page. The abstract should be e-mailed to the Conference Scientific Secretariat by December 31, 2008 at
kalle.kahkonen@vtt.fi, or use the Abstract submission option on the congress website. The abstracts will be reviewed by scientists selected on a world-wide basis, based on the topic. Full papers will be refereed and accepted by the same referees. For the practical presentations, four streams will be included:
