Indian Executives & Government Leaders to speak at 16th Global Project Management Symposium in New Delhi
A number of important national industry and government leaders have been announced as keynote speakers for the 16th Global Project Management Symposium 2008 in India. The Annual Global Symposium will be held at the Hotel Ashok in New Delhi during 16-18 December 2008. The theme of the 16th Global Symposium is ‘Project Management – at the Centre Stage of Economic Transformation’.

According to information provided to PMForum, the symposium will be opened by Mr. Anil Razdan (pictured left), conference chair and Secretary of the Ministry of Power for the Government of India. In addition, the following leading Indian executives and government leaders will also deliver speeches and presentations at the 16th Global PM Symposium in New Delhi:

Professor K K Aggarwal, Vice Chancellor of Guru Gobind Singh Indraprastha University, will speak on “Project management excellence – IP University case study”

R. Bandyopadhyay, Secretary of the Department of Public Enterprises in the Ministry of Heavy Industries & Public Enterprises, on the topic of “Central public sector enterprises (CPSE’s) on the move – challenges ahead!”

Adesh Jain (pictured right), Director of the Centre for Excellence in Project Management (CEPM) and past president of the International Project Management Association (IPMA), on the topic of “Breaking boundaries .. the 5th Generation of Project Management!”

Ms. Ruchira Jain, Managing Director of CEPM India, on “Certificate in project management – a new competitive factor.”

Dr. R C Panda, member of CAT and former Secretary of the Government of India, on the topic “Managing change through project management”

Dr. A S Pillal, CEO of Brahmos Ltd, on “Managing complexities in R& D projects”

Dr. G Sridharan, Group Advisor for BMR Infrastructure Ltd., on “Challenges and opportunities in managing risks in large infrastructure projects”

K Vankataramanan, Member of the Board and President of Larsen & Toubro Ltd, on “Global risk management practices for large EPC projects”
