The North India Section of the Association for the Advancement of Cost Engineering International (AACEI) has announced a workshop on the topic of Quality for Excellence in Project Management, to be held during The public workshop will be held at India Habitat Centre (Maple Hall) on Lodhi Road in New Delhi during 20-21 February 2009.

The workshop instructor will be Ribhu Nath Lavania, quality guru and expert on metrics-based process improvement.

Some of the topics to be addressed will include:

• Barriers to successful Quality and Project Management
  
• Defect and Problem Prevention using Metrics Based PI
  

Mr. Lavania (pictured) has thirty one years of experience in manufacturing and software quality. Strong in basic concept of quality, ISO9001:2000, Software CMM & CMMI, EFQM and TQM implementation using Phil Crossby methodology. A qualified lead auditor of ISO 27001:2005 based Information Security Management Systems. Ribhu conducted more than 67 third party certification ISO9000 audits and a few EFQM audits. He has been involved in 12 software CMM initiatives/assessments. Ribhu has led six CMMI initiatives in various organizations in India and abroad. He is shortly going to be a candidate CMMI lead appraiser.
