The European Institute for Advanced Studies in Management (EIASM) has announced that a
"Special EDEN Doctoral Seminar on Perspectives on Projects"
will be held during August 17-21, 2009 at the Ecole Superieure de
Commerce de Lille (ESC Lille) campus in Lille, France. The EDEN seminar
will be held in conjunction with the 9
th Annual ESC Lille
Doctoral Seminar hosted by the Lille School of Management Research
Center (LSMRC) in ESC Lille's School of Management. ESC Lille is
located in Lille, the major metropolis of the North of France, near the
Belgium border, between Paris and London.
The
August 2009 Doctoral Seminar will have two main aims: (1) to provide a
forum for doctoral students in project management from Europe and

information related to theoretical paradigms, research and literature
in project management; and (2) to introduce doctoral students in
project management to the system of classification of projects
developed by professors Lynn Crawford, Brian Hobbs and Rodney Turner.
Faculty for the August 2009 EDEN Doctoral Seminar - Perspectives on Projects: Project Attributes - will include the following:

th
International Workshop in Project and Programme Management will be
greatly enhanced for the second year by the EDEN Special Doctoral
Seminar. Each year we bring world leaders from the project management
field together with doctoral students; for the students, it is often a
culmination of several years of study (last year presentation can be
found at
www.eden-pm.org).
This year, the results should be new contributions, new knowledge that
can benefit project management scholars and professionals worldwide."
The
August 2009 Doctoral Seminar will be held at ESC Lille School of
Management; participation fee is 1500 €. This fee includes
participation in the seminar, all documents, lodging and a number of

EIASM
involves not only the best doctoral students and their supervisors, but
also their institutions. Through the creation of EDEN, EIASM
contributes to the most critical phases in a scholar's life - his/her
introduction to and early growth on the academic market. The EDEN
program includes an integrated set of doctoral seminars to bring
participants into systematic interaction for comparing approaches and
cross-examining research work. The EDEN doctoral seminars are at
alternating locations to establish linkages with leading European
Business Schools. Since June 1988, over 2000 doctoral students from all
over Europe have become EDEN Fellows and 238 professors have acted as
EDEN faculty members. More information can be found at
