PMForum named Media Partner for EDEN Doctoral Seminar and 9th International Workshop on Project & Programme Management at ESC Lille in France
PMForum has been named a Media Partner for the "9th International Workshop on Project & Programme Management" and "4th Internal Research Seminar in Project & Programme Management" , being held during August 17-21, 2009 at the Ecole Superieure de Commerce de Lille (ESC Lille) campus in Lille, France. The workshop and seminar will be held in conjunction with a "Special EDEN Doctoral Seminar on Perspectives on Projects" supported by the European Institute for Advanced Studies in Management (EIASM). Lille is the major metropolis in the North of France, near the Belgium border between Paris and London.

According to Prof. Christophe N. Bredillet (pictured), Professor of Strategic Programme and Project Management and Dean of Postgraduate Programmes and Research at the ESC Lille School of Management, "Each year, our August doctoral workshop attracts more attention, and more famous participants from the global project management community. Combined with the EDEN seminar this year, we expect even more participants, with more results. It is good to have PMForum reporting about the symposium this year."

Faculty for the 9th International Workshop in Project & Programme Management and the Special EDEN Doctoral Seminar - Perspectives on Projects: Project Attributes - will include some of the biggest academic names in the PM world. Faculty will include Professors Christophe Bredillet, PhD (France), Rodney Turner, PhD (UK), Phillipe Ruiz, PhD (France), Martina Huemann, PhD (Austria), Frank Anbari, PhD (USA), and Lynn Crawford, PhD (Australia). In addition, such international project management authorities as Dov Dvir, Roland Gareis, Hans-Georg Gemunden, Ed Hoffman, Liz Lee-Kelly, David Lowe, Tony Maturo, Ralf Muller, Shankar Sankaran, Aaron Shenhar, Hiroshi Tanaka, Graham Winch and Xue Yan will also participate.

A major aspect of the seminar and workshop this year will be the introduction to and discussion of a "system of classification of projects" developed by Professors Lynn Crawford, Brian Hobbs and Rodney Turner. Professors Crawford and Turner will explore different paradigms appropriate for different types of projects, with an aim to develop an overarching theory of project management for framing research, studies and applications in this area.

Attendance at the 9th International Workshop in Project & Programme Management is by invitation only. The August 2009 Doctoral Seminar being held at ESC Lille School of Management has a participation fee of 1500 €, which includes participation in the seminar, all documents, lodging and a number of dinners. ESC Lille offers a limited number of partial scholarships. Scholarships are strictly limited to students coming from ESC Lille partners & network of colleagues. Allocation of the scholarships is entirely at the discretion of ESC Lille. Interested doctoral students and researchers can apply at eden-PM@esc-lille.fr no later than June 17, 2009.
