APM 2009 Project Management Conference announced for 21 October in London
Reported by Miles Shepherd in the UK

The Association for Project Management (APM) has announced that the APM 2009 Project Management Conference - Delivering Projects Professionally - will be held on Wednesday, 21st October 2009 at The Brewery in London. The conference will be an interactive forum to provide participants with an insight into the development of effective project professionals.

The event will address issues including project sponsorship, training and development, growing the skill-set of project professionals and the benefits of Chartered status. An invitation for speakers and presentations has been issued around these topics (www.apm.org.uk/invitation.asp ).

In the words of APM President Dr Martin Barnes, "projects are about people getting things done and never has this been more critical than today". As the world faces environmental and economic challenges, change and innovation, consolidation and growth this statement becomes ever more relevant.

APM is also addressing the need for professionalism in project management through its programme to achieve Chartered status. Given the emerging needs of the profession, how can you ensure that you will continue to get things done and deliver real benefits? These are questions to be discussed in October at The Brewery conference centre in London.

Those interested in attending, or for further information about exhibiting at the conference, should visit https://www.apm.org.uk/conference.asp or contact conference@apm.org.uk. To be added to the conference mailing list, please email conference@apm.org.uk.
