Dr. David Schrader announced as keynote presenter at the 23rd IPMA World Congress in Helsinki, Finland
Reported by Jouko Vaskimo in Helsinki

Dr. David Schrader, Director of Strategy and Marketing, Teradata Corporation, has been announced as a keynote presenter at the 23rd IPMA World Congress in Helsinki, Finland. Dr. Schrader delivers his keynote presentation Better, Faster Enterprise Decisions: From Insights to Action With Active Enterprise Intelligence in the morning of 17.6.2009, the third congress day.

Dr. Schrader is a marketing director for the Teradata Solutions group. He is responsible for the Active Enterprise Intelligence (AEI) initiative, which helps organizations derive more value from their Enterprise Data Warehouses by applying strategic insights to operational systems. Using Teradata, insights derived from a single integrated view of the enterprise can be applied to improve systems like call centers and the Web, as well as bank ATMs and retail point of sale devices. He is currently focused on collecting the best customer practices of AEI, and helping innovators fast-track new uses of Teradata. (photo courtesy David Schrader)

With 25 years of experience in high-tech, he works closely with Teradata's industry organizations in the retail, financial, healthcare, insurance, telecommunications, media and entertainment, travel, transportation, government, and manufacturing sectors.

Dr. Schrader is a frequent speaker at industry and technology conferences, and is also a popular speaker at Teradata's Partners and User Group forums, including the Baltic, Scandic, UK, and German groups. He has presented AEI in London, Paris, Amsterdam, Seoul, Tokyo, Stockholm, Beijing, Sydney, and Melbourne.

As one of Teradata's "thought leaders", he was an invited speaker at Federal Trade Commission hearings on spam and was featured on several morning nationwide radio and local TV programs. He has given invited talks in the graduate and executive MBA programs at Stanford, University of California at Berkeley, the Wharton School at Penn, Duke University, UCLA, and the University of Southern California. His advanced development work on E-Motions on bank ATMs was featured across the U.S. in local news programs, and he even appeared on Comedy Central on The Daily Show. He writes articles on customer management applications and issues, including personalization vs. privacy, consumer and business approaches to combating spam and bad marketing, and real-time versus "right-time" customer management analytics.

Dr. Schrader finds the 23rd IPMA Global congress in Helsinki, Finland, an excellent opportunity to network with project leaders who want to refresh their skills as corporate change agents by learning about real best-practice examples of information capture and use from across the world. His goal at the conference is to stimulate people to think more broadly about how their projects can impact corporate results, widen better information use in decision-making, and help their companies become rule-makers, not rule-followers.
