The 14th Annual EVA Conference will be held during 9-10 June 2009 in London, UK. This major earned value analysis (EVA) conference, now in its 14th year, is being supported by the APM EV SIG, APM Group and the PMI College of Performance Management (PMI-CPM). The conference will be held on Tuesday and Wednesday 9th and 10th June at the Armourers Hall in London, with training sessions and workshops on other days of that week. As in years past, approximately 300 participants are anticipated.

Armourers' Hall is situated on the original site of the 'Dragon and Shoppes', on the corner of Coleman Street and London Wall. From as far back as 1346 the company has occupied this property, making it not only their home, but the very seat of the Armourers & Brasiers. The Hall's exceptional image, stunning décor and unique atmosphere make it ideal for professional meetings and small conferences. Smaller rooms also offer a unique setting for breakout meetings and discussions, or for networking sessions. The address is 81 Coleman Street, London, UK.

With the global economic downturn, the pressure on project managers and organizations to control costs is heavier than ever before. In times of plenty the good practices extolled by project management are often treated casually. But now, with budgets and projects being slashed, cost and schedule control are more important than ever. It's when the chips are down that senior management takes project management, and the benefits of better accountability and control it can bring, more seriously. Now is a good time to take another look at earned value, with this major June event in London a good opportunity.
This year the head of Programme Controls for the 2012 Olympics will keynote day 1, whilst
Gerald Howarth , Shadow Minister for Defence will keynote day 2. Some of the topics that are expected to be covered this year include the APM's Earned Value Guideline, Earned Value & Risk Guideline, earned schedule, earned value and governance, and the new APM EV Compass.
