Anbang Qi and
his team have been honored with the
IPMA Research Award at the 23
rd
IPMA World Congress in Helsinki, Finland. Professor Qi and his team
received the award based on their achievements in project integrated
management research. Professor Qi accepted the award, and delivered his
presentation Project integrated management techniques at the congress
research seminar on 16.6.2009.
Professor
Qi sees the IPMA Research Award as a great honor for himself, his team
and also for his country as this is the first time a Chinese professor
and his team receive an international project management research
award. Professor Qi feels the IPMA Research Award provides immense
motivation for himself, his team and his peers in China, and paves the
way for future progress in project management research. Professor Qi

Professor Qi is currently a
Professor of Nankai University of China, Director of Project Management
Research Centre of Nankai University, Director of Master of Project
Management Centre of Nankai University and Deputy Director of MBA
Centre of Nankai University.
Professor Qi holds an association
position as an Executive Committee Member and Deputy Secretary of PMRC,
an Executive Committee Member of Information Research Association of
China, an Expert Committee Member of China Cost Engineering Association
and Deputy Director of Tianjin Technological Economics and Management
Association.
Professor Qi holds a Bachelor Degree from studies
in Shanxi Mechanical Engineering Institute in 1973-1976, English
Language degree from training in Chengdu English Training Class in
1982-1983, Economic Master Degree from studies in Jilin University
Management School in 1983- 1986 and PhD Degree from studies in Nankai
University Business School in 1996-1999. Professor Qi studied in Leeds
University of UK as a visiting scholar in 1990-1992 and in University
of North Carolina of USA as a visiting scholar in 1998-1999.
Professor
Qi's recent research achievements include China Education Ministry
sponsored research project
Research on China Project Oriented Society
and Organizations Model and Building Methods for Knowledge Economy in
2005- 2008; China Foreign Expert Exchange Bureau sponsored research
project
The Performance Assessment for China Introduced PMI's PMBOK and
PMP Program in October 2007-June 2008 and China Housing and Urban-
Rural Development Ministry sponsored research project
Total Integrated
Management Method for Government Investment Mega Project in 2007-2008.
