Opportunity to Compare International Project Management Approaches available at Expert Seminar on 6 June in Vienna

An Expert Seminar on "International Project Management Approaches" is being offered on 6 June on the concluding day of the happy projects '09 project conference - being held during 4-6 June 2009 in Vienna, Austria. This seminar will compare and explore such international project management approaches as the International Competence Baseline (ICB) of the IPMA, the Project Management Body of Knowledge (PMBoK) of PMI, PRINCE 2 of the Office of Government Commerce (OGC) in the UK, and the Project Cycle Management of the European Union (EU). The consequences for project-oriented companies will also be discussed.

This expert seminar is aimed at programme and project owners and managers, managers of project-oriented companies, consultants and training course leaders. It should also be of interest to project management leaders and professionals who want a better understanding of the differences and commonalities of various international project management standards and methods. The leader of this expert seminar will be Dr. Wolfgang Vrzal (pictured left) of ROLAND GAREIS CONSULTING. According to Wolfgang, "There are now a lot of choices regarding project management standards, bodies of knowledge, certifications and basic approaches. What are the issues, differences and similarities of these various approaches? Which should a company consider or choose these days, depending on global acceptance, corporate culture, types of projects or industries?."

The happy projects`09 conference, often the biggest project management event in Austria, is the annual international Project Management Conference of PROJEKTMANAGEMENT GROUP - Vienna University of Economics and Business Administration - and ROLAND GAREIS CONSULTING.
