The UK PMI Chapter has announced further details on their International Project Management Day 2009 Conference on the 17th November 2009 at the Ricoh Arena, Coventry. The theme of the conference for this year is "When it all goes wrong...!" and will look at how projects failed and what measures were taken to recover them or not!
Keynote speakers for this event will be:
Opening Keynote -
Brian Munroe - CEO & Senior Instructor - MTI Learning Inc.; Title: "Trouble finds even the best teams" - A vivid story of troubled projects and a back to basics methodology for recovery by effectively and efficiently planning and executing the entire project rescue process.
Closing Keynote -
Jonathan Buck - Instructor - ESI International; Title: "Making disasters deliver" - Every project, every organisation, and every individual is unique. However each entity when studied in groups will exhibit similar traits and commonalities to others in that group that distinguish the individual, the company or the project as successful. As equally common, if not more so, then with time and experience it becomes easy to see the common failings manifested that lead companies and projects on the disastrous road to destroyed value and ruin
Other speakers include:
- Prof Terry Williams - University of Southampton
- Dr David Hancock - University of Cranfield SOM
- Howard Lees - Director - Hollin Consulting
- Kevin Philips - PM Delivery Consultant - Emerald IT Consulting
Patrick Bird, Director of InterActive Performance Management, will be Master of Ceremonies. A poster representation of the whole event will be drawn by Vanessa Randle, Director of
