3rd Annual UT Dallas Project Management Symposium in August, including all speakers and topics. The regional project management conference, which will be held on The University of Texas at Dallas (UT Dallas) campus in Richardson, Texas during 13-14 August 2009, is being sponsored by the Graduate Program in Project Management (PM) in the School of Management's Executive Education Center at UT Dallas, in partnership with the Dallas Chapter of the Project Management Institute (PMI®) and PMForum. The theme for this year's UT Dallas Project Management Symposium will be "
Managing in a Changing World".
The two day symposium will end on Thursday, 14 August, with the following speakers and topics announced for Day 2:
- Tony Parella, President and CEO of Shared Technologies - Day 2 Opening Keynote address: "Fractured to Fortune"
Following Mr. Parella, Day 2 of the symposium will include 23 professional presentations related to Global Project Management; Healthcare Project Management; Project Integration; Agile/IT Project Management; and PM Methods. Three panel discussions will be held in the afternoon on the topics of "The Future of Project Management", "The Future of Outsourcing in a Changing World"; and "Managing Your Career in a Changing World." The symposium will conclude with the following two keynote presentations in plenary session for all participants.
- Ed Andrews, PhD, Director of Academic and Educational Programs for the Project Management Institute (PMI) - 2nd closing keynote speech: "Researching the Value of Project Management"
- Veikko Valila, Secretary General of the International Project Management Association (IPMA), based in Switzerland - 1st closing keynote: "The Latest Trends in Project Management"
