The "
Special EDEN Doctoral Seminar on Perspectives on Projects" for the European Institute for Advanced Studies in Management (EIASM) began on 17 August 2009 at the Ecole Superieure de Commerce de Lille (ESC Lille) campus in Lille, France. The EDEN seminar is being held in conjunction with the 9
th Annual ESC Lille Doctoral Seminar hosted by the Lille School of Management Research Center (LSMRC) in ESC Lille's School of Management. ESC Lille is located in Lille, the major metropolis of the North of France, near the Belgium border, between Paris and London.
The August 2009 Doctoral Seminar has two main aims: (1) to provide a forum for doctoral students in project management from Europe and around the world where they can share experiences and exchange information related to theoretical paradigms, research and literature in project management; and (2) to introduce doctoral students in project management to the system of classification of projects developed by professors Lynn Crawford, Brian Hobbs and Rodney Turner.

Graham Winch. These presentations were followed by 8 doctoral student presentations on the status of their dissertations. Prior to the last activity, presentation of the dissertation of
Azad Chalikuzhi, Shankar Sankaran gave a presentation on ROMAC-A HUMANITARIAN SOCIO CULTURALY COMPLEX PROJECT FOR HOPE AND DIGNITY FOR THE FUTURE."

Through the creation of EDEN, EIASM contributes to the most critical phases in a scholar's life - his/her introduction to and early growth on the academic market. The EDEN program includes an integrated set of doctoral seminars to bring participants into systematic interaction for comparing approaches and cross-examining research work. The EDEN doctoral seminars are at alternating locations to establish linkages with leading European Business Schools.
