Reported by Ana Maria Rodríguez with the cooperation of Andres Sananes

The PMI South Cone Tour will stop at Mendoza (Argentina) on November 7, 2009. The National University of Cuyo will be the place for the event.

Ms. Ana Maria Rodriguez, PMForum correspondent in Argentina, will lecture on Project Management experiences in Government projects at this PMI event. Ms. Rodriguez is Founder of ERA Project Management and was in charge of the PM Office for the Rosario Habitat Program at the City of Rosario from 2002 to 2005.

Ms. Rodriguez will talk about how it is possible to apply principles of Project Management in Government Projects in Latin America. She will explain how the implementation of these tools allows local governs to achieve their objectives more efficiently, saving resources that will be able to be used for other social intentions.

Ten more speakers will present their experiences at this valuable opportunity for attending a PMI event in the Mendoza region.

Mendoza is the capital of Mendoza Province in the north western part of Argentina, in a region of foothills and high plains, on the eastern side of the Andes. The metropolitan population is approximately 850,000, the fourth largest in the country. Mendoza is a frequent stopover for climbers on their way to Mount Aconcagua (the highest mountain in the Western Hemisphere) in the Andes. One of the largest industries in Mendoza is wine making.
