At the AIPM Annual General Meeting held in Adelaide during the 2009 National Conference,
Dr Lynn Crawford was awarded a Life Fellowship of the Institute. Due to her busy schedule, Lynn was unable to attend the conference in Adelaide. She was therefore invited to attend a dinner with members of the AIPM Board and NSW Chapter Council on Saturday, 28 November. During the dinner, the Chair of the Council of Fellows,
Brian Kooyman presented Lynn with a commemorative plaque.

Lynn Crawford's contribution to the project management profession has mostly been as a result of her employment at the University of Technology, Sydney (UTS). Lynn helped to establish the current UTS Project Management Program and introduced the current course structure which has since been adopted by other faculties and universities elsewhere. Lynn was a key to bringing in industry, professionals and academics to the review to ensure that the courses reflected current practice and knowledge within the field of project management.
Lynn has also been prolific in her research and contribution to establishing a greater understanding of the profession itself as both a discipline and an emerging profession. Since 2000 Lynn has engaged in many different research projects with the unifying theme of 'individual and organisational project management capability'. During the last 8 years Lynn has specifically aimed at directing her work into publications in a way that maintained visibility and relevance to the project management community. Research outcomes from these projects have informed the development of international standards and supported major organisational change projects in essential services organisations.
Lynn's current work at Bond University as a Professor of Project Management has seen the first intake of students undertaking the Doctorate of Project Management.
Other Life Fellows of the AIPM are
