Call for Papers for August UT Dallas Project Management Symposium in North Texas extended to 15 March

The Call for Papers for the 4th UT Dallas Project Management Symposium, to be held August 12-13, 2010 at The University of Texas at Dallas, has been extended to 15 March 2010. There is therefore still time to submit an abstract for consideration. The conference is being sponsored by the Graduate Program in Project Management at The University of Texas at Dallas, in cooperation with PMForum and the PMI Dallas Chapter. The 2-day Project Management Symposium will focus on topics important to organizations, industries and the economy of North Texas.

Project management professionals, experts and executives interested in presenting a paper at the 4rd Annual UT Dallas PM Symposium next August should e-mail abstract, bio and photo to pmsymposium@utdallas.edu. Papers will be selected by 9 April 2010, after which authors will be notified. Final papers will be due by 30 June. Presenters can attend free and will receive at least 10 PDUs (more if they attend other presentations).

Abstract Submission Guidelines


The 2 Day Project Management Symposium will include an Opening Ceremony with Keynote Speakers, professional presentations, panel discussions, lunches and coffee breaks, a Monday evening networking reception and a closing plenary session with keynote speakers. Participants can receive 10 PDUs for presenting a paper, and additional PDUs for attending. Presenters will also have fees waived.

The symposium is sponsored by the Graduate Program in Project Management at The University of Texas at Dallas (UT Dallas), in cooperation with the Dallas Chapter of the Project Management Institute (PMI®) and PMForum, Inc. Both the PMI Dallas Chapter and UT Dallas are registered education providers with PMI®, so attendees can easily receive Professional Development Units (PDUs) for PMP recertification. The Project Management Program at UT Dallas provides application-oriented education for professionals with significant project, program or general management responsibilities.
