4th UT Dallas Project Management Symposium, to be held August 12-13,
2010 at The University of Texas at Dallas, has been extended to 15
March 2010. There is therefore still time to submit an abstract for
consideration. The conference is being sponsored by the Graduate
Program in Project Management at The University of Texas at Dallas, in
cooperation with PMForum and the PMI Dallas Chapter. The 2-day Project
Management Symposium will focus on topics important to organizations,
industries and the economy of North Texas.
Project management
professionals, experts and executives interested in presenting a paper
at the 4
rd Annual UT Dallas PM Symposium next August should e-mail
abstract, bio and photo to
pmsymposium@utdallas.edu. Papers will be
selected by 9 April 2010, after which authors will be notified. Final
papers will be due by 30 June.
Presenters can attend free and will
receive at least 10 PDUs (more if they attend other presentations).

- Human Factors in Project Management (communications, leadership, conflict management, etc.)
- Management of Public Sector Programs and Projects
- Financial Aspects of Project Management
Abstract Submission Guidelines- Papers should not have been previously published.
- Papers and presentations should be free of commercial sales content.
- Papers and presentations should focus on the subject of the title, and provide new contributions to the topic.
- The length of the abstract should be between 150 and 250 words.
- Abstracts shall be typed in 12pt Times New Roman font in the MS Office Word format, 2003 or 2007 versions.
- Abstracts must have a lead author who will be primary contact for correspondence.
- Length of the final paper should be 1000 to 2000 words in length.
The
2 Day Project Management Symposium will include an Opening Ceremony
with Keynote Speakers, professional presentations, panel discussions,
lunches and coffee breaks, a Monday evening networking reception and a
closing plenary session with keynote speakers. Participants can receive
10 PDUs for presenting a paper, and additional PDUs for attending.
Presenters will also have fees waived.
The symposium is
sponsored by the Graduate Program in Project Management at The
University of Texas at Dallas (UT Dallas), in cooperation with the
Dallas Chapter of the Project Management Institute (PMI®) and PMForum,
Inc. Both the PMI Dallas Chapter and UT Dallas are registered education
providers with PMI®, so attendees can easily receive Professional
Development Units (PDUs) for PMP recertification. More information at
