According
to
Professor John-Paris Pantouvakis, conference chair for PM-05, "We
received many good abstracts, so we expect the results to again be very
positive. So even though Greece has been in the news lately with
serious economic and financial problems, our conference has exceeded
our expectations."
"The historic island of Crete holds a special
place in the history and culture of Western Civilization," he added.
"We will welcome colleagues and researchers from around the world to
this wonderful Greek island, and in the Springtime, the most appealing
season for visiting the Mediterranean region."
Crete
is the largest island in Greece. In addition to being the home of the
first European civilisation - the Minoan civilization dating 5000 years
ago - the island offers mountains and sandy beaches that are among the
finest in the world. Crete has a mild Mediterranean climate and the
conference participants will have the opportunity to taste one of the
oldest and most tasty gastronomic traditions in the world and to enjoy
the famous Cretan hospitality.
PM-05
is being organized by the Centre for Construction Innovation, National
Technical University of Athens (NTUA), in cooperation with the Network
of Project Managers in Greece (PM-Greece), the Scientific Association
for the Advancement of Project Management in Greece.
