PMForum names Renate Prantner as International Project Management Correspondent in Austria
PMForum adds correspondent in Austria, increases coverage of project management in central Europe
DALLAS, TX - – September 19, 2007 -- PMForum, Inc announced today that Renate Prantner has become an International Correspondent for the Company in Austria. PMForum is establishing a global network of international correspondents to provide project management-related news and information from around the world and to provide the company with local representation. PMForum operates www.pmforum.org, the world’s first website devoted to professional project management, and produces the popular monthly online e-Journal PM World Today.
According to PMForum managing editor David Pells, “Ms. Prantner is actively involved in some of the most interesting project management research in the world. Based in Vienna, she will provide us with a correspondent and representative in one of the most important business, economic and financial centers of Europe. Vienna is also home to many important global and multinational organizations, where projects and project management can have a profound impact on issues and people worldwide. Renate Prantner is a research fellow for project management in the PROJEKTMANAGEMENT GROUP at the University of Economics and Business Administration in Vienna, Austria where she has worked since 2004. At the PROJEKTMANAGEMENT GROUP she has been part of the programme office in the research programme project orientation [international], of the project team in project orientation [Austria II] and project orientation [sk-at]. She is coordinating the international project “PM CAT” to develop a web-based tool for competence assessment. She also coordinates the international network PMUni, a network of major universities established to promote professional education and research in project and process management.
Renate has a Masters degree in International Business Administration from the University of Economics and Business Administration, Vienna, where she is currently writing her doctoral thesis on the subject of “Change Management – Project and Process Orientation”.
Other International Correspondents for PMForum have been announced recently in Argentina, Australia, Brazil, Ecuador, France, Germany, Greece, India, Nigeria, Peru, Portugal, Romania, Spain, Switzerland, Turkey, and in the UAE, UK and USA.
