LONDON, UK - January 31, 2008 -- Maven Training is delighted to start 2008 with new training partners in Poland, the Middle East and America.
In the USA, Maven has formed a partnership with Watermark Learning in Minneapolis. Watermark Learning provides project management and business analysis training to a wide range of public and private sector organisations.
Richard Larson, President, Watermark Learning says, “Multi-national companies are using PRINCE2 and find it valuable. These organisations are looking for a US-based Project Management training provider. Once PRINCE2 generates momentum in the USA, other organisations will recognize the value of it and will seek an established resource. With our established training partner, Maven Training, we are ready when the expected wave occurs.”
“We view PRINCE2 as a valuable and practical addition to the PMI-based framework that we currently teach. The two are complementary and part of our challenge is to educate the market on how PRINCE2 can enhance rather than compete with a PMI-based approach. We chose Maven as a partner based on their excellent track record and their management team”, Larson says.
Owned by the UK Office of Government Commerce, and launched in its current version in 2005, PRINCE2 is rapidly becoming an international standard, with organisations around the world using it as their preferred approach to managing projects. So extensive is PRINCE2's use and applicability that in the last 12 months over 20,000 people have taken either the PRINCE2 Foundation or Practitioner Examinations. Currently more than 700 people a week take one or other of these exams.
The growing interest in the method is supported by on-going translations of the manual, with German, French, Dutch and Polish versions due out imminently. Maven Training is licensing materials to Centrum Rozwiązań Menedżerskich (CRM) Plc. CRM has a long history of providing project management training and consultancy in Poland.
Piotr Kotelnicki, president, CRM says, “We are licensing Maven's materials and discussing some strategic options for delivering training to Eastern and Central Europe.”
CRM will be offering training in PRINCE2, MSP, and Change Management. “Maven Training’s offers a combination of excellent training materials, professionalism and approachability. These factors plus the fact that we care about our customers and best practice standards meant there is a natural synergy between CRM and Maven Training,” Kotelnicki says.
Meanwhile, in Denmark, Maven will be working with Peak Consulting Group to help satisfy the increasing demand for PRINCE2 training. Patrick Sorrentino of Peak Consulting says: “In Denmark, the interest of PRINCE2 is growing rapidly as the Danish government has introduced PRINCE2 and is supporting its use in both the public and private sectors. The number of exams is increasing by three hundred to four hundred percent per year. It is a very exciting time for us.”
Peak Consulting Group offers management consultancy services, including IT advisory services such as IT strategy and governance, Program and Project management consultancy, project methodology implementation and training services through Maven Training and its own instructors.
“We chose Maven Training as a partner after carefully exploring the market,” Sorrentino says. “Maven is a serious and quality-aware training partner, with similar global visions as Peak.”
Activities in the Middle East are also about to swing into action. Maven Training will commence course offerings courses from the spring. We have also entered into affiliate relationship with CMCS which offers project, portfolio and risk management training and consultancy to organisations based in the Middle East.
Bassam A. Samman, CEO, comments, “CMCS is offering Maven’s PRINCE2 and MSP training programs in the Middle East. We chose Maven as a partner because of their exceptional track record and the commitment of their management. We will be working on building market awareness of PRINCE2 and MSP with the aim of helping our clients deliver successful projects.”
