PMForum Announces winners of Free Project Management Course in PM GiveAways™ Program
Project Manager in The Philippines wins free registration for online Certificate in Project Management course - Second Prize winners in 14 Countries

DALLAS, TX, USA - August 19, 2010 -- PMForum announced today the results of the first drawing in its newly launched PM GiveAways™ Program - a Free registration for the online Certificate in Project Management (CIPM) course and exam offered through the cepm-pmforum collaboration. PMForum's PM GiveAways™ Program was announced in a breaking news article on 10 July 2010; to see article, visit http://www.pmforum.org/blogs/news/2010/07/FreeProjectManagementStuffPMForumLaunchesPM.html

A total of 500 people in 75 countries registered for this first drawing for the free course. Results of the random number-based drawing held on 16 August included the following: 1st Prize Winner was Mr. Maxwell Stewart in The Philippines. Twenty 2nd Prize Winners included individuals in 13 countries, including Algeria, Canada, Cameroon, Ethiopia, India, Italy, Nigeria, Pakistan, Saudi Arabia, South Africa, Ukraine, UAE and the USA. 2nd Prize was a 20% discount on registration for the course.

According to PMForum's Managing Editor David Pells, "The response to our GiveAways Program has been great, as reflected in this first drawing. It is also rewarding to see that PMForum and PM World Today readers are in so many countries. The opportunity to win a free $445 course obviously resonated with a lot of people around the world."

The Certificate in Project Management (CIPM) - Developed by the Centre for Excellence in Project Management Pvt. Ltd (CEPM) and offered through the CEPM-PMForum Partnership, the online CIPM course and certification is registered with the Project Management Institute (PMI®) for 35 professional development units (PDUs). This is a comprehensive and intense online course covering 8 stages in a major project life cycle, combining elements from PMI's Guide to the Project Management Body of Knowledge and IPMA's International Competence Baseline. CIPM is one of the world's best and least expensive options for organizations to certify large numbers of project management professionals. Regular Course Price for single user = US$445. More information about the course can be found at http://www.cepm-pmforum.com/.

"There were only three registrations from Algeria and one person won. Two registrations from Ukraine, and one person won; this really shows the opportunities when a random number approach is used," Pells added. "And actually, since some of the winners of the 2nd prize did not want to register for the course and because we drew a total of 50 names in the drawing, we simply moved down the list to find 20 people who wanted the course at the discounted pricing. So more people actually won than 21. We will probably use this same approach in the future, to maximize the number of winners."

PMForum's PM GiveAways™ Program is based on periodic DRAWINGS for free educational and professional project management products and services. PM GiveAways™ will include project management courses, books, conference passes and other valuable items. Drawings will be held at least monthly, with the products and services to be given away announced in breaking news articles ahead of time and on PM GiveAways™ web pages.
