So concludes a comparison of PMI’s PMP, AACE’s CCC/E, AIPM’s RegPM and IPMA’s Level C certification programs, completed by a team of Graduate Students from the Master of Science in Project and Program Management, ESC Lille.
"A lot of international organisations offer people opportunities to become certified in costing and managing projects fields. Our survey will compare some of them, mainly the Association for the Advancement of Cost Engineering International (AACEI), the Australian Institute of Project Management (AIPM), the International Project Management Association (IPMA) and the Project Management Institute (PMI®).

We will focus our comparison on these four certifications in order to provide help for students and employees to find a key in achievement of business objectives. Through different surveys, we will compare the underlying base knowledge, the technical and experience requirements in the project management field, the level of effort involved to coordinate and prioritise the time of study, the cost of these selected certifications, the market worth and the market acceptance before grouping the main elements of comparison."
This interesting and provocative study is updated each year as a class project.

Claudia
Lopez is 26 years old and currently a Project Management
student at ESC Lille Paris. She obtained a bachelors degree in Financial
Engineering at Pilot University of Colombia.
In Colombia she participated in a project to automate the processes of sample
collection, task allocation and invoicing, improved the Accounts Receivable
(A/R) process to ensure faster order-to-cash cycle times in a medical services
company. Also, she participated in the implementation of a Database system
oriented towards the efficient management of Mortgages and their related
activities in the financial environment.

Audrey
Damilaville is 22 years old and currently a master’s degree
student in Project and Program Management at ESC Lille Paris. She obtained
a bachelor degree in Business and Marketing at ISTEC, a French business school.
She participated in the organization of a charitable golf trophy as a project
manager. The funds were collected for the foundation “Philippe Chatrier” against
the Alzheimer disease. Audrey would like to orientate her carrier in the
retail distribution sector were she would like to become a product manager.

Yan
Shuo is a master student in Project and Program Management in ESC-LILLE
of Paris. She obtained a bachelor degree in Traffic Engineering of Beijing
University of Technology in China and she also got a minor degree in international
economics and trading at the same university.
She was the leader of Eurhythmics Association and the Student Union of Beijing
University of Technology, and organized several activities. She wants to
find a job related to project management now.

Ying
ZHANG graduated from BEIJING INSTITUTE OF PETROCHEMICAL TECHNOLOGY
with Bachelor’s degree in Marketing Management specialized in the study
of Brand Strategy Management. She had ever accepted the marketing study training
in automobile industry for three months in China and worked for the WHEELON
Co. CNAIC (China) in the duration of EQUIP AUTO EXPOS IN PARIS Oct.2005.
Once completing this master, she would like to start an international career
where she could apply both Project Management and Marketing Management in

ANIL
KUMAR GOWTHAM is a master student in Project and Program Management
in ESC –LILLE PARIS CAMPUS. He is from India and his bachelor degree
is Mechanical Engineering, graduated of Gulbarga University. He has experience
in COMPUTER AIDED DESIGNING using software like PRO/E, AUTOCAD and ANSYS.
