This position is for a part-time IT Program Manager working for Lockheed Martin Enterprise Information Systems (EIS). The applicant works closely with directors and managers in the Space System Design and Integration (SD&I) organization to complete special projects or lead projects as needed. The position may include project planning, tracking and control as well as reporting progress to executives. Other assignments include facilitating meetings and monitoring action items for the SD&I directorate. The applicant assists director by gathering and organizing information and developing presentation materials for periodic management reviews. The applicant provides assessment of project issues and develops solutions to those issues to meet productivity, quality and client satisfaction goals and objectives. As opportunities arise, the applicant works closely with the External Initiatives organization to secure and support new business opportunities.

The applicant has demonstrated project planning experience as well as strong knowledge of software development lifecycle. The applicant has demonstrated experience with SEI/CMM level 3 or above and demonstrated management experience with strong leadership attributes. The applicant is an effective communicator and has strong presentation skills. The applicant must be willing to travel or provide extended stay on business opportunities outside of EIS. Experience with ERM/ERP as well as IT architectural or systems engineering is desired.

General Position Description Responsible for ensuring that customer needs are satisfied through managing and coordinating specific informational technology deliverables; the overall program/project plan, budget, structure, schedule and staffing requirement. Manages company and third party vendors as well as assure that an integrated software and hardware solution is provided to meet customer's need. May include responsibility for technical development.

At the higher level, incumbents are instrumental in overall planning and selling of services. Responsible for coordinating subordinate employee recruitment, selection and training, performance assessment, work assignments, salary, and recognition/disciplinary actions. Typical Minimum Education Appropriate degree from an accredited college, with experience and specialized training commensurate with assignment.
