Beginning with the August issue of PM World Today the online monthly publication of PMForum.org, the monthly project management e-zine will now be published at the beginning of each month. According to new managing editor, David Pells, “we want the perspective to be more forward looking. We will focus on publishing timely news, papers and articles that can be useful for future application, and that can contribute to the future projects and careers of our readers.”

The August issue of PM World Today, which is expected to be issued on August 1, will be the first with Pells at the help. While other changes may be implemented in both PM World Today and on the http://www.pmforum.org website, immediate changes will primarily deal with organization of the contents.
In addition, a formal “Call for Papers” will be announced each month in order to attract and promote more new authors and contributions for future issues of PM World Today.

Also, according to Mr. Pells, “we are especially interested in publishing good student papers. We want to encourage young people who are studying project management at either the graduate or undergraduate level to publish their research papers as a way to jump start their professional careers. Both professors and future employers might like to see such initiative, and it can be good publicity for the students, professors and universities represented.”
Note that publication in PM World Today can also provide authors with professional development units (PDUs) for Project Management Professional (PMP) recertification. Project Management World Today, or PM World Today, is the monthly online professional publication of www.pmforum.org. Each issue contains an editorial, case studies, viewpoints by leading professional leaders, featured technical papers, student papers, tips & techniques, event listings, and a summary of recent news related to PM Research, PM Education, the PM Profession, the PM Community, the PM Supplier Marketplace, and Projects and Programs in the real world of government, industry and society.
