Hubert Vaughan

Professor Hubert Vaughan is a graduate of Melbourne University in Australia, with an MBA from York University in Canada.  Professor Vaughan commenced his career with National Mutual Insurance in the field of Information Technology in 1972. During the last 30+ years, he has lived on all five continents and held senior technical and management positions with such international organizations as IBM, DEC, Unisys, Tandem, Cable & Wireless, Bell Canada, ANZ Banking Group and Bank of Montreal. His career has covered software development, professional services, technology consulting, project/program management, strategic planning as well as business development.  Mr. Vaughan is a Professor at the Institute of International Engineering Project Management of Tsinghua University, Beijing, China.  He also teaches PM at the Graduate School of the China Academy of Science; Software College of Beijing University of Astronautics and Aeronautics; Software College of Nankai University, and the School of Software Engineering of the Harbin Institute of Technology. Apart from his teaching engagements, Hubert also acts as consultant for several State owned organizations in China. Kunal Verma

Kunal Verma, PMP, is presently a Project Manager in the Enterprise Solutions Practice of INFOSYS TECHNOLOGIES LTD. He has over 7 years of experience in the IT industry and has focused on packaged applications for the last 4 years. During this time Kunal and his team have been involved in several consulting, roadmap definition for the enterprise, pre-sales, project management and project implementations, mainly on SAP products. Kunal has worked extensively in SAP CRM product development and SAP implementations for Automotive, Hospitality, High Tech and CPG Industries. Kunal has received awards for delivering projects and programs on-time, within-budget and with high customer satisfaction. Maria Voropajev-Cates

Maria (Masha) Voropaeva – Cates is a head of projects for Lenovo web design company.  Ms. Cates was born, raised and studied fine arts in Moscow before moving to North Carolina in 1993.  Since that time, she has been a fine artist, graphic artist, web designer, web-based training developer, interactive media developer, and director or member of various web design projects for customers and organizations worldwide.  Masha has a Fine Arts Degree from V.I. Surikov Art School (1978-1984) and a Master’s Degree in Fine Arts & Graphic Arts from the Academy of Arts, Moscow State Arts Institute (1985-1991).  She has Certificates in Computer Art and 3D Computer Animation from the School of Communication Arts, Raleigh, North Carolina, USA (1997-99). Vladimir Voropajev

Professor Vladimir Voropajev, PhD. is President and Chairman of the Board of the Russian Association of Project Management, SOVNET. Dr. Voropajev is professor of Project Management at the State University of Management, Moscow, Russia.  He is also Head of the Program and Project Management Faculty for the Russian State Academy’s Program for Professional Retraining and Professional Skill Development for Executives and Specialists in Investment Fields.  He is a full member of the Russian Academy of Natural Sciences on Information Science and Cybernetics, and of the International Academy of Investments and Economy in Construction. From 1991 to 2001, he was Vice-president and a member of the Executive Committee of the International Project Management Association (IPMA), the global federation of national PM associations based in Zurich, Switzerland. He is an honorary Fellow of the Indian Project Management Association and a past member of the Global Project Management Forum Steering Committee.  During his 40 years of engineering, scientific, teaching and consulting activities, he has published over 250 scientific research works including 7 monographs and 5 textbooks about the organization and planning of construction, information systems, and project management.  Vladimir serves on the editorial boards of several international project management journals, is a frequent participant in PM conferences worldwide, and provides ongoing counsel and support to PM professional leaders in Azerbaijan, Kazakhstan, Ukraine, Yugoslavia and other countries.  Professor Voropajev can be reached at voropaev@sovnet.ru

Jim Waddell

Jim Waddell is an independent consultant specializing in program management and mergers and acquisitions.  He is the former Director of Program Management for Tektronix Inc. where he established and led Tektronix’s first worldwide Program Management Office.  Additionally, Jim is an adjunct professor at the Oregon Graduate Institute, a founding member of the Program Management Forum in Portland, and the co-founder of the Program Management Academy.  Jim has held a wide range of managerial and operational roles ranging across engineering, marketing, systems and manufacturing in the high tech and energy industries. Patrick Weaver

Patrick Weaver, PMP, FAICD, FCIOB, is the Managing Director of Mosaic Project Services Pty Ltd, an Australian project management consultancy specialising in project control systems and a PMI Registered Education Provider.  Patrick is also the business manager of Stakeholder Management Pty Ltd. He is a Fellow and Regional President of the Chartered Institute of Building, Australasia (FCIOB) and a Fellow of the Australian Institute of Company Directors (FAICD). He is a member of the PMI College of Scheduling, College of Performance Management and the PMI Melbourne Chapter (Australia), as well a full member of AIPM and the APM (UK).  Patrick has over 35 years experience in Project Management.  His career was initially focused on the planning and managing of construction, engineering and infrastructure projects in the UK and Australia. Francis D. Wega

Francis D. Wega, MPM, PMP is a Senior Project Management Consultant and Engagement Manager with Project Assistants, Inc. a project management consulting firm based in Wilmington, Delaware, USA. For more than ten years, he has provided project management solutions for dozens of companies in multiple industries (Telecommunications, Pharmaceutical, IT, Manufacturing, State and Federal Government, Financial, Construction, Non-profit). Rebecca Winston

Rebecca Winston, Esq. Active in PMI since 1993, Rebecca Winston helped pioneer PMI's Specific Interest Groups (SIGs), including the Project Earth and Government SIGs, the latter of which she was a founding member. She also initiated the SIGs involvement with the PMI Board of Directors, and was founder and first co-chair of Women in Project Management. Winston currently serves as a consultant to organizations such as the National Nuclear Security Administration, Department of Energy and the Department of Homeland Security on topics ranging from Program and Project Management to project reviews and assistance in risk management and vulnerability assessments. Rebecca served on the PMI board of directors during 1998-2002, served as Chair of the PMI board in 2002, and was elected a Fellow of PMI in 2005.”
