The Athabasca University MBA is Canada's largest Executive MBA program, with a student body that has grown from 130 students in 1995 to over 1100 in 2003. Our 24-hour online format makes it feasible and practical to work on a high quality graduate management education while meeting commitments to work and family.
The Executive MBA in PM employs an integrative approach to project management education that is designed to develop effective and flexible project managers who are capable of tackling complex and difficult projects with confidence.
After covering graduate level business fundamentals, the Athabasca University MBA in Project Management program takes an integrated approach to teaching the eight primary topics considered when managing a project: scope, time, cost, human resources, risk, quality, contracts and communication.
Traditionally, each of these topics is studied independently of the project
management process. The AU MBA program assumes an understanding of the basics
and endeavours to take the student to a more complex understanding of theories
and issues by examining their interaction and integration over the course
of a project.
