The Mission of the Canadian Project Forum is to enhance Canadian ability to successfully initiate and execute capital projects in Canada and internationally. The CPF is primarily a knowledge building association and fulfillment of member's needs in the most effective manner.
CPF goals are: To provide a forum to discuss and encourage Canadian participation in the successful initiation and execution of Canadian and international projects. To identify, develop and share the special conceptual and project management attitudes, knowledge and skills required for successful projects. To build and share an effective information base which leverages the understanding and skills of members. To seek an appropriate number of members and balance of representatives within the forum membership from private and public sectors to maximize the skill base available. To collaborate with other associations to enhance the base of knowledge, expertise and technology of stakeholders. The planning and conduct of the CPF are the responsibility of a Board of Directors elected each year by the membership. In addition there is a Program Committee. The CPF maintains an administrative office in Calgary , Alberta , Canada.

he American Society for the Advancement of Project Management - ASAPM - is a professional association dedicated to promoting the use of project management as the business solution of choice and supporting member career advancements through increased knowledge and competency.
ASAPM's programs include a four-level certification program for measuring and authenticating competency. Education programs will be offered to individuals to raise their level of knowledge in state of the art practices for project management. Not least of the initiatives is an awards program to recognize both individuals and organizations that excel in project management endeavors. The American Project Management Forum is dedicated to
improving ties between the project management profession and the US government, and to promote professional project management on US government and federally-funded projects in the United States.
The American Project Management Forum brings executive-level representatives of government agencies and industry together to discuss project management related issues. An Agreement has been struck to proceed with "American Project Management Forums", to be held in Washington, DC on a periodic basis, for the purpose of bringing together key representatives of various US government agencies, US industry and the project management profession, in an open forum to discuss project management issues of US government programs and projects.
