With the resignation of the Chairman Margaret Greenwood, the Association for Project Management UK elected Miles Shephard Chairman for the balance of Margaret's term, that is up until the end of July 2002. Miles Shephard stated that ...
"I see my role in this period as a largely practical one of seeing the changes begun by Margaret through to their implementation.
For the period beyond this Miles stated that,
"Particularly, I wish to see a strengthening of our membership base into non-engineering arears and a strengthening in the role of Branches"
