2004 PMI Research Award to Rodney Turner

Rodney TurnerDr. Rodney Turner was awarded the PMI Research Achievment Award recently at the PMI Global Congress 2004.

Professor Turner is a regular contributing Author of PM World Today. His award-winning research studied how the nature of work has shifted over the past 50 years, from that of stable requirements of mass production and little change in technology to that of current work environment where products and service are supplied in response to customized design using technology in constant change.

Peter Morris Author and
Professor of Construction and Project Management

Peter MorrisPeter Morris is Professor of Construction and Project Management at University College, London, Visiting Professor of Engineering Project Management at UMIST, and Director of the UCL/UMIST-based Centre for Research in the Management of Projects. He is also Executive Director of INDECO Ltd, an international projects-oriented management consultancy.

He is a past Chairman and Vice President of the UK Association for Project Management and Deputy Chairman of the International Project Management Association. Prior to joining INDECO, he was a Main Board Director of Bovis Limited. Between 1984 and 1989 he was a Research Fellow at the University of Oxford and Executive Director of the Major Projects Association.

Prior to his work at Oxford, he was with Arthur D. Little in Cambridge, Massachusetts, and previously with Booz Allen Hamilton in New York and with Sir Robert McAlpine in London. He has written approximately 100 papers on project management, as well as the books:

He is a Fellow of the Association for Project Management, Institution of Civil Engineers, and Chartered Institute of Building and has a PhD, MSc and BSc, all from UMIST.
