PMI named four new PMI Fellows September 10 at the annual awards ceremony preceding the PMI Global Congress North America in Toronto, Canada.
- Helen Cooke was a member of the PMI Board of Directors 1995-1997 and 1999-2001. She now leads a consulting practice in the Chicago area advancing the maturity of organizations to deliver strategic objectives through projects.
- Saralee Newell served as a member of the PMI Board of Directors 1997-1999. Newell is a principal of PSM Consulting Services, a consulting firm that provides project management consulting and training.
- Rebecca Winston was a member of the PMI Board of Directors 1998-2003, serving as Chair in 2002 and Vice Chair 2000-2001. Winston is a management consultant specializing in strategic planning; portfolio, program, and project management; and business planning and development.

The PMI Fellow award is the Institute’s most prestigious individual award, and recognizes and honors PMI members who have made sustained and significant contributions to PMI and to the project management profession for more than a decade.
In traditional fashion, the new Fellows were welcomed and congratulated by each of the current Fellows present at the ceremony. A total of 48 Fellows have been named since the award was established in 1982.
